Deliverables

Video, Print, OOH

For their first brand campaign in decades, Cole Haan wanted to pay tribute to the spirit of the year of their birth through four individuals who were also born in 1928.

I helped develop the creative and was also lucky to direct the films, which featured a dream cast: legendary author Maya Angelou, Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell, Magnum photographer Elliott Erwitt and China Machado, Avedon’s muse and the first woman of color to appear on the cover of a major American fashion magazine.

PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT

This was one of the last filmed interviews Dr. Angelou gave before she died. She was incredibly generous with her time and I was able to speak with her for over an hour.
