I never met Ben, but I loved what little I knew about him.

Up until being introduced to him by email, my experience in the ad industry led me to believe you could either be nice, or a good creative director. But not both. Ben showed me it was possible to be both. He gave me something to strive for.

Character is how you treat the person who can do nothing for you. I never had anything to offer Ben but he always made time for me. To answer an email. Jump on a call. To give a quick lesson for a class I was teaching. It would have been easy to say no. Ben always said yes.

I will never stop trying to be just like him.
