Twitter has always had a hard time telling its story. Walt Mossberg famously described it as “secret-handshake software” and the confusion around the product has never been fully dispelled.
To counteract that, the brand commissioned me to direct a thirty minute documentary exploring the live and improvisational nature of Twitter and making a case for its role in modern culture.
In hindsight, the film also doubles as a snapshot of Twitter’s golden age, before it became just another place for people to yell at each other online.
