Note from Liz Libre

Ben hired me at Ogilvy to take over his assistant job. So about 20 years ago. It was a quirky job with just two reports, one of whom was tough, kind of brutal actually. But she loved Ben. I don’t think she loved me ;) I had to call on Ben often when I didn’t know things, and he was always so patient and kind to me—he showed me the grace our boss did not. I remember he loved music, as does my husband John, who I was dating at the time I worked at Ogilvy. And we were all at a Radiohead concert one time, and I heard someone calling out my name. I look over and it’s Ben. So happy to see me, the annoying girl who kept calling him during the day to help with the tedious tasks of his old job, my job. I will always remember his kindness, his quick wit, the way he listened closely and enjoyed a good laugh. I am so so sad about his passing and am keeping you all close in my mind and heart. xoxo Liz
